When I used to live in Arizona, I would make frequent visits to the city of Sedona in the Northern Verde valley. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery, this little city offers visitors a myriad of activities ranging from adventure sports to spiritual healing. But every time I visited, I would always make it a point to stop at the Chapel of the Holy Cross. Nestled in the heart of the red rocks, this church was built into the buttes of Sedona. The design and architecture of this church coupled with the surrounding beauty of the place is a sight to behold. In 2007, many Arizonans voted the Chapel to be one of the seven man-made wonders of Arizona.
